P1P Chinese New Year

P1P have had a lovely week learning about Chinese New Year! We watched a video all about Chinese New Year decorations and food and we got to see what the special parade looks like!

We have made Chinese New Year lanterns, fans and practised Chinese numbers. We have used lots of red because it is a special colour that represents ‘good luck’. We also know that there are twelve special animals that represent different years – we learned that this is the year of the rooster!

Miss Palin has put the things we made up in a display and we will get to take them home at the start of next week. Remember to ask us lots about Chinese New Year!
