Acid or Alkali?

Primary 7 have been learning the difference between Acids and Alkalines. We had to predict whether a liquid would be acidic, neutral (neither) or alkaline. To do this we had to find out each liquid’s pH value. We used indicator paper which turns different colours depending on how acidic or alkaline something is. The scale reads from 1 (strong acid) to 7 being neutral and then rises up to 14 (strong alkaline). We had to work co-operativly with our partners in order to gather the data and record our results. There were some surprising results, for example coffee is actually rather acidic!  imageimage image image image image image image image image image image image image image image image image
