Rotary Collections 2018 – THANK YOU!

Wow!

The Hanover Street School Community, children , parents and teachers never fail to disappoint.  A BIG “thank you” to all who donated to and helped support the Rotary Shoebox Scheme this year.  They are being collected next week, before being transported onto Eastern Europe.

Being organised by classes this year has allowed more discussion about the needs of children and adults, better learning about our communities and also, increased quality of contents in boxes. Thank you to the class teachers for supporting this.

Again, I’m really proud to have led this and appreciate all of your support.  I, and the Primary 5 girls who helped check the boxes (and find more empty boxes for the extra things to fill) were humbled and to be honest, a wee bit overwhelmed.

Thank you!

Miss Forbes

PS – Some donations were a bit large (e.g boxed toys) or inappropriate (dried foods).  These are being kept for the Bring and Buy Sale (proceeds going to Children in Need) and the Food Bank Collection (held at Christmas Concert).

Have a lovely weekend everyone, knowing that you will make many people’s Christmas much better.  We really do have a super, wee school here. 🙂
